Nursing
The nursing staff of Sandhill Orthopaedic & Sportsmedicine will assist you in your health needs. The nursing staff offers years of comprehensive nursing knowledge in orthopaedic, work-related injuries and rehabilitation care. Our nurses are available to answer questions regarding your care.

Radiology
Radiologic Services are available in our Orthopaedic Clinic. The radiology suite contains state of the art equipment located in a warm pleasing atmosphere. The Registered Radiologic Technologists at Sandhill Orthopaedic & Sportsmedicine are experienced in providing quality orthopaedics and general diagnostic services. Our radiology department also offers tele-radiography services to the communities of Southwest Kansas.

Business Office
The business office is available to answer your questions pertaining to your account. If you have any concerns regarding your billing, feel fee to schedule an appointment with our business office or contact us by phone or e-mail. We stand committed to meet with you to clarify any questions you might have involving your insurance or billing statement.

Physical Therapy
Sandhill Orthopaedic & Sportsmedicine Physical Therapy features state of the art rehabilitation equipment. The therapy staff specializes in rehabilitation to general orthopaedics, sportsmedicine and work related injuries. Our therapists want to help you in your rehabilitation process so that you may return to your job, sport, or everyday living as promptly and safely as possible.

Worker's Compensation
Our goal is to provide cost effective treatment of musculoskeletal, occupational disease and injuries through:
• Early competent evaluation
• Prompt effective treatment, emphasizing rapid return to restricted or full duty
• Rehabilitation with a goal of timely maximal medical improvement
• Clear communication with patients, employers, case managers and insurance adjusters
• Expeditious case closure with credible impairment ratings (rate and release in a timely fashion)

Our physician, nurses and physical therapists can effectively care for your work related injuries.

Non-operative conditions are usually treated with physical therapy, appropriate medications, injections and restricted work activities. Restrictions will be re-evaluated and modified as necessary at each follow-up appointment thus allowing a gradual return to full duty or permanent restrictions.

Conditions requiring surgical intervention will be treated by Dr. Baughman, a Board Certified Orthopaedic Surgeon, who specializes in general orthopaedic trauma care, fracture management, arthroscopic surgery and hand surgery including tendon and microsurgical nerve repair.

Second opinions regarding spinal disorders and spine surgery are available at S.O.S. by consulting physicians from the Kansas City area. The consulting staff physicians offer the advantage of local evaluation and follow-up avoiding costly time off from work and accompanying mileage expenses.

Schools
The Athletic Training Department of Sandhill Orthopaedic & Sportsmedicine provides quality care at the high school and college levels. Our five certified athletic trainers coordinate high school sports medicine programs and provide athletic training coverage for 19 area high schools and sports events, as well as Garden City Community College. The athletic trainers are available to answer any questions you may have concerning exercise, wellness, protective equipment, and bracing.
